Submissions open for 2018 Philo Awards

Each year, the Alliance For Community Media Central States Region salutes the best community programming with a regional video contest, the Philo Festival Of Media Arts Video Competition. Submissions are now open for this year’s Philo Awards. Named after Philo T. Farnsworth, inventor of the first receiving tube for television transmissions, the Philos recognize the efforts of modern day pioneers who work to promote the use of media in our communities.

Congratulations to all of the winners of Accessvision's annual Volunteer Recognition Awards!

Arts & Culture: Yohei Okuma – “Japanese Culture Show”
Yohei began working with his 4th grade class at Westlake in the fall of 2016 to create a weekly news program. After the school year he took additional classes at AccessVision to become more proficient in video production.

BATTLE CREEK CHRISTMAS PARADE

This year marks the 29th year in a row AccessVision volunteers will have braved the cold weather to bring all the sights and sounds of the Annual Battle Creek Christmas Parade to the warmth of the viewer’s living room.

AccessVision will air the parade “live” from in front of its location at 70 West Michigan Avenue on Comcast Cable Channels 17 & 917 and on AT&T U-verse  channel 99.  In order for AT&T customers to watch the parade, they need to select “channel 99”, click on “Battle Creek Area – AccessVision”, then select “AccessVision 17” and select “OK”.

High School Sports Fall 2017 Schedule

AccessVision will begin its 29th season of “High School Sports” this fall when Battle Creek Central will host the Lancers from Lakeshore in football on Thursday, August 24th.  

Each game will be videotaped during the week for transmission on Comcast channel 17 & digital channel 917, AT&T U-verse channel 99 and streamed online that Saturday at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. and will air for a fourth time Monday at 4 p.m., unless otherwise noted *.

Spring coverage of "High School Sports"

AccessVision is pleased to announce that we will be furnishing Battle Creek area fans with complete televised coverage of high school baseball, softball, boys lacrosse and girls soccer games this spring.

Each game will be videotaped during the week for air Comcast Channels 17 & 917 and AT&T Uverse Channel 99 that Saturday at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. and will air for a fourth time Monday at 4 p.m., unless otherwise noted*.

AccessVision announces full-time streaming online

AccessVision is now streaming both of its TV channels on the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Previously, AccessVision has streamed select programs and community events, such as City Commission meetings or the Battle Creek Christmas Parade “live” as they happened. Now AccessVision’s full program schedule is available to watch “live” online all the time. That means if anyone is unable to watch AccessVision on TV, you can now watch it anywhere in the world where there is an internet connection.

AccessVision announces its "High School Sports" Fall 2015 schedule

AccessVision began its 27th season of “High School Sports” this fall when the Harper Creek Beavers played host to Caledonia in football on Friday, August 28th.  These perennial football powers both made the playoffs last year, with Caledonia getting the best of the Beavers during the opener last year.  Will we see revenge for Harper Creek?  Stay tuned!
