Can AccessVision cover my event?Contrary to popular belief, AccessVision staff does not simply go out and videotape events at will in order to have programming to air on our channels. We provide the training and facilities for the public to use. So, if you have an event youd like to see on AccessVision, you should get a group of volunteers together and learn to use the equipment in order to cover the event and produce your own video. The only cost associated with doing this would be your time involved and the workshop fees. The use of the facilities and the equipment is free.Contractual Services AccessVision does provide an inexpensive video production service to non-profits, in cases where the organization is unable to do the production themselves. The fee to nonprofits is $50.00 an hour for an AccessVision (professional) staff person to shoot and edit any video production that was intended to air on AccessVision channels. The contractual services we provide follow these guidelines: 1. Production will be done for nonprofits "only". 2. The intent of the production must be to air on AccessVision. 3. An AccessVision staff person would do the work (not a volunteer). 4. The productions would cost $50.00 per hour. 5. AccessVision will provide the technical expertise "only". 6. The nonprofit must supply the written script and talent. 7. The amount of productions for nonprofits cannot exceed 20% of the annual budget. 8. Facility usage cannot exceed 20% of total available volunteer hours. 9. Studio productions are $200 per show. AccessVision will provide a staff member to direct, along with 3 volunteers to run cameras and audio. The intent of this policy is to help AccessVision supplement its franchise fees and possibly fill a void for nonprofits, whose only options have been to pay top dollar or settle for a lower quality production. |
